Use this prayer in between workouts, when you’re sore, while you’re soaking in an Epsom salt bath, on walks, during stretches, as you lie down to sleep, or on the Sabbath.
Place your hands on sore areas of your body or open your hands with your palms turned up, and say this prayer:
Praise You, Creator of rest. (Genesis 2:2)
Lord, my body feels taxed [insert however you feel: wrecked, rigid, etc.], but my spirit rests in You. Holy Spirit, breathe into me. Soak into my cells. Repair what is damaged. Flush out the toxins. Nourish my joints, muscles, bones, and nerves. Restore me inside and out. Quiet and refresh my mind. Return me to optimal function.
I receive Your healing in Jesus’s name. Amen.
Scripture to meditate on (NKJV):
Exodus 33:14
And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
Isaiah 40:31
Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.
Psalms 116:7
Return to rest, O my soul, for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.
